About us
Robert Atkins, American weight loss doctor, Atkins was born and raised in Ohio, USA, graduated from the University of Michigan in 1951, received his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College in 1955, and moved to New York City. 40 years ago he was a fat man who loved all kinds of food, and thus began to put on weight when he was only in his thirties, and the overlapping double chins and high protruding belly made him feel threatened. The overlapping double chins and high protruding belly made him feel threatened. At first, he tried to minimize his calorie intake by eating less high-fat and high-protein foods, as people usually do. But he soon realized that while this worked, no one could stick to it for long.
He began to look for a way out of the vast medical literature. By chance, he came across an article that would influence the rest of his life.
The author of that article was Claude Bernard, a Parisian physician. He advocated that humans should give up carbohydrates altogether in favor of high-protein foods because carbohydrates can be converted by the body into fat for storage, but proteins do not. Atkins developed a whole new diet recipe for himself as he continued to figure out what to do. Not only did this recipe not include bread, fruits and vegetables, it didn’t even include all sugary foods. Instead, he was allowed to gorge himself on anything high in fat and protein, such as tender, dripping veal, flavorful bacon, and fresh, tasty fish. It was a recipe he was more than happy to embrace. Amazingly, it wasn’t long before he managed to lose weight and regain his normal weight again, and the key thing was that this new diet didn’t make him feel any pain. In order to promote this diet, in 1972, he published the first medical monograph in his career as a doctor, “Dr. Atkins’ New Diet Revolution”, which later became popular all over the United States.

In the 1990s, obesity became a common phenomenon in the U.S. and around the world, and weight loss became a universal hot topic. 1992, he revised and reprinted his first book, and it actually sold 15 million copies in one fell swoop, becoming the best-selling book of the 1990s.

With a wife who was a proficient cook, Atkins had the added advantage of releasing his new book, Dr. Atkins’ Quick and Easy New Diet Recipes, with the great assistance of his wife, Veronica, which made his meat-eating diet even easier to follow. He rose to fame and became not only the leader of the new diet, but even the face of the new lifestyle. He started a huge movement to turn tradition on its head. People ditched the traditional food bread and started warming up to the high-protein, low-carb diet instead. In 2002, he began to gather professionals to research the market and develop a variety of diet foods under his name, and put them on the market at a very fast pace. In the same year, his “Atkins Nutritional Products” company’s turnover grew rapidly, starting from almost zero, and rising upwards, finally reaching more than 100 million U.S. dollars. The company went from buying just plain vitamins to a full range of low-carb foods, from ice cream to flourless sliced bread, cookies, cupcakes, and even chocolates, with several new products coming to market almost every month. Today, the Atkins family’s Dr. Donald Atkins, Jr.Atkins, also a graduate of the University of Michigan with a Ph.D. in Nutrition, has refined his original dietary regimen to introduce this newest version of the Protein Bar, which tastes better, is safer, and is easier to implement than the previous product. Utilizing it with the improved Atkins diet regimen, you can achieve perfect weight loss, and the process of losing weight is easy and enjoyable, easy to be accepted by people, and doesn’t require a lot of grueling exercise, which is why we call it the Lazy way Diet.
